I am interested with what you will be doing with the black object in the sky area of this piece. Right now it feels very disconnected with the rest of it and I'm not quite sure of the reasoning behind having it in there. I love what you're doing with the fireflies. It looks great.
I like that you added the 2 fireflies on the outside. It sort of ties together them being bugs and being part of the lightbulb. Looks great! What are you planning on doing with the background?
I love your drawings. Whenever I see this piece I think of porch lights because fireflies are obviously bugs that are outside so a suggestion for the background would be maybe the light cords are wrapped around wood? and you could make it night time so it just looks like the lights are christmas lights wrapped around a porch balcony.
I really enjoy this piece. I think you should play around more with the gradients and truly capture the essence of a firefly. I think if you had the light orbs a firefly produces in the background and foreground, it would be interesting, almost hinting that there are more like how fireflies light up in a field, if that makes sense.
I like that you got going on. I think you should play around with the lighting cord more. Add alil bit more detail. I'm kinda lost with whats going on in the background - Jordon
I was think it would be cool to make the lighting bugs butt the bulb instead of them being in a bulb so that body would be the top where the light bulb twist into. So it likes your twisting the the bulbs out of the butt of the bug. just another idea. Looks good though great idea.
This still seems pretty in progress so I'm not really sure what to say, but I'd definitely like to see more detail to tell us what's going on. I'm sure you were planning to do that anyways though. I like the different fireflies you've added, and even more, maybe flying around in the background, would be nice. Excited to see this finished!
You have some great things going with positive and negative space here. I have completely no idea how I would proceed with it, but the white space in the upper thirds just works.
Try changing the orientation of the page. As it is now, you would have a filled page that way. Maybe keep the backgrounds flat, but add strings of lights that we can only see from the distance (so they are only small lights in a row).
I think it comes along marvelously. Your light bulb reflections are great. If you play with the light and reflections like that in few more places on the page, it will make for an awesome piece!
This is sweet! I can't get over how realistic the light bulb looks. I agree with other people about the negative spaces. You've got cool leading lines here. I don't think you'll need to do much with the background because the shapes in them are intriguing on their own. You've got some great things going on here!
I like the selective rendering of the bugs. Still have some problems with the challenge of transitioning from one object into another. Is there a way to create an aura around the bulbs to suggest they are giving off light? Should the values be reversed (black light bulbs?)
looking great! I preferred the gradient you kept in your last WIP i think it had a better sense of depth, but its looking amazing so far!
